Providing key metrics for store operators

Timeline

Overview
Chick-fil-A store operators needed to have a hub to view expenses, reimbursements, and food delivery issues at their restaurants. This had been handled solely by the store owners via spreadsheets and other means. I was brought in to design a key metrics tab in the Supply app to address this problem.
Problem 🫤
Store operators had no hub for viewing metrics for their store's supply needs. This was putting pressure on store owners to manually interpret their supply chain performance that contained dozens of data points.
Solution ✅
As the UI designer, I designed a solution for Store Operators to easily see their supply transaction history over selected timeframes while providing a hub for invoices.

Interpreting Data
When placing orders with Chick-Fil-A Supply, store operators were charged a fee for product ordered and were issued credits if their order was damaged or lost. If there was any issue with their delivery, owners could report incidents with a variety of properties.

When viewing the data, they came in 4 distinctive types. Fees, Credits, Incidents, and Fill Rate. Visually, they led to visual traits that could lead to specific types of graphs.

Design
Taking visual cues from best-in-class metric providers, these value types were flowed into card designs for each metric.

At the end of each sprint, I would build a deck and present to stakeholders in the business and engineering teams. This is a small preview of the deck below.

Learnings
Metrics are one of my favorite things to work with, and data visualization is something that I never thought that I would enjoy. I hope to get to work with more data like this in the future, seeing how it makes an impact on the business!
